TOWARDS A TRANSFORMATIVE CLARETIAN EDUCATION

Hello dear Family,

we have the joy of announcing that between November 2 and 6, 2020 we will hold the IV Congress of Claretian Educators with the theme: “Towards a Transformative Claretian Education”.

We feel that this initiative does not sound new to anyone, since it is part of a journey that we have been making as a Claretian Family for years.

If we recall our history in this field, the first Congress was held in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) in 2002, followed by the second in Vic (Spain) in 2008 and the third in Bangalore (India) in 2014. God willing we prepare to celebrate the IV in Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea – Africa.

Each Congress has been held on a different continent. By doing it now in Africa, we feel it is important to underline the following:

1. It is a continent that is currently increasing the Claretian presence, with different modalities in education: own schools and pedagogical collaboration in other centres, with others.
2. In the congress of Bangalore the group of Africa underlined the need to intensify the formation and sensitization in the Claretian identity and spirituality at all levels, in our educational platforms of the Continent.
3. The aim is to offer the possibility of focusing the development of the Congress within a specific cultural, social, political and ecclesial context (such as that of Africa), so that it can have an immediate, concrete and inculturated impact.
4. EQUATORIAL GUINEA is the country that has the longest history of experience with regard to the Claretian school, and the context is favourable to the reception of educators representing the other continents where the Claretian Family is well committed to education.

Thus, the IV Congress of Claretian Educators in Africa has as its goal, the consolidation and organization of the educational identity through an integral education that takes into account human values, the richness of some elements of the African cultural wisdom, reconsidered from a process of transformation of the triangle Family/Society-School-Church and the testimony and coherence of the life of the educators.

Among the objectives that this Congress aims to achieve are the following:

1. Revaluing the family and the educational community from the values of African culture and wisdom;
2. To build an educational proposal from our Claretian identity that responds to the current clamours of our society, favouring an education for global citizenship in harmony with the global educational pact;
3. To value the mission of the educator and to promote his or her formation to be up to date with the present times;
4. To continue deepening the educational path as a Claretian Family and in mission with others.

The Congress is addressed to members of the various educational institutions of the Claretian Family present in Africa, as well as from other continents. We think it is important that the participants are educators willing to assume the commitment of sharing their experience, their knowledge and all the dialogues, proposals and dynamics of the Congress; and that when they return to their places they get involved in transmitting to the other members of their educational centres and of the organism to which they belong, those learnings and common lines.

The contribution price for each participant is 80$ per day (accommodation, meals and congress expenses), for a value of 400$ for the 5 days of the Congress. In case someone has to arrive before or leave later than the indicated date, they must provide 80$ for each extra day they stay.
The Local Organizing Commission suggests that each foreign participant buys a return plane ticket to Malabo International Airport and, once he has entered Equatorial Guinea through this border, he will receive from the same Commission the ticket to continue from Malabo to Mongomo, which he will have to pay to the person indicated on arrival at the meeting place. Once you have registered and requested it, you will be informed of the price.

We send you the link from which you can formalize your registration. We ask you to fill it in properly and to register as soon as possible as we only have 100 places available. Registration will be open until June 30th, 2020.

Those who need a Visa (which should be checked in advance at their countries’ embassies and arranged in good time) can apply for a letter of invitation to the same Commission, writing by email to congresomongomo2020@gmail.com.

It is important to inform yourself about the vaccinations needed to enter Equatorial Guinea.

IV CONGRÈS DES ÉDUCATEURS DE LA FC

VERS UNE ÉDUCATION CLARÉTAINE TRANSFORMATRICE

 

Bonjour chère Famille,

nous avons la joie de vous annoncer qu’entre le 2 et le 6 novembre 2020, nous réaliserons le IVème Congrès des Éducateurs Clarétains avec le thème: “Vers une éducation clarétaine transformatrice”.

Nous pensons que cette initiative ne semble nouvelle pour personne, puisqu’elle fait partie d’un parcours que nous faisons en tant que famille clarétaine depuis des années.

En rappelant notre histoire dans ce domaine, le premier congrès s’est tenu à Saint-Domingue (République dominicaine) en 2002, suivi du deuxième à Vic (Espagne) en 2008 et du troisième à Bangalore (Inde) en 2014. Si Dieu le veut, nous nous préparons à célébrer le IV à Mongomo, en Guinée Équatoriale – Afrique.

Chaque Congrès a été organisé sur un continent différent. En le faisant maintenant en Afrique, nous pensons qu’il est important de souligner ce qui suit:

1. C’est un continent qui accroît actuellement la présence clarétaine, avec différentes modalités dans l’éducation: écoles propres et collaboration pédagogique dans d’autres centres, avec d’autres.
2. Dans le congrès de Bangalore le groupe d’Afrique a souligné la nécessité d’intensifier la formation et la sensibilisation à l’identité et à la spiritualité clarétaine à tous les niveaux de nos plateformes éducatives du Continent.
3. L’objectif est d’offrir la possibilité de concentrer le développement du Congrès dans un contexte culturel, social, politique et ecclésial spécifique (tel que celui de l’Afrique), afin qu’il puisse avoir un impact immédiat, concret et inculturé.
4. La GUINÉE ÉQUATORIALE est le pays qui a la plus grande expérience en ce qui concerne l’école clarétaine, et le contexte est favorable à l’accueil d’éducateurs représentant les autres continents où la Famille Clarétaine est très engagée dans l’éducation.

Ainsi, le IV Congrès des Éducateurs Clarétains en Afrique a comme but, la consolidation et l’organisation de l’identité éducative à travers une éducation intégrale qui prend en compte les valeurs humaines, la richesse de certains éléments de la sagesse culturelle africaine, reconsidérée à partir d’un processus de transformation du triangle Famille/Société-École-Église et le témoignage et la cohérence de la vie des éducateurs.

Les objectifs que ce Congrès vise à atteindre sont les suivants

1. Revaloriser la famille et la communauté éducative à partir des valeurs de la culture et de la sagesse africaines ;
2. Construire une proposition éducative à partir de notre identité clarétaine qui réponde aux clameurs actuelles de notre société, en favorisant une éducation à la citoyenneté mondiale en harmonie avec le pacte éducatif mondial ;
3. Valoriser la mission de l’éducateur et renforcer sa formation afin d’être en phase avec le temps présent ;
4. Continuer à approfondir le parcours éducatif en tant que Famille Clarétaine et en mission avec d’autres.

Le Congrès s’adresse aux membres des différentes institutions éducatives de la Famille Clarétaine présentes en Afrique et dans les autres continents. Nous pensons qu’il est important que les participants soient des éducateurs prêts à assumer l’engagement de partager leur expérience, leurs connaissances et tous les dialogues, propositions et dynamiques du Congrès; et qu’à leur retour, ils soient impliqués dans la transmission aux autres membres de leurs centres éducatifs et de l’organisme auquel ils appartiennent, ces apprentissages et ces lignes communes.

Le prix de la contribution pour chaque participant est de 80 dollars par jour (hébergement, repas et dépenses relatives au Congrès), pour une valeur de 400$ pour les 5 jours du Congrès. Si une personne doit arriver avant ou partir après la date indiquée, elle doit fournir 80$ pour chaque jour supplémentaire de son séjour.

La Commission Organisateur Local propose que chaque participant étranger achète un billet d’avion aller-retour pour l’Aéroport International de Malabo et, une fois entré en Guinée Équatoriale par cette frontière, reçoive de la même Commission le billet pour continuer de Malabo à Mongomo que l’intéressé devra payer à la personne indiquée à son arrivée au lieu de rencontre. Une fois que vous vous serez inscrit et que vous en aurez fait la demande, vous serez informé du prix.

Nous vous envoyons ce lien web à partir duquel vous pouvez formaliser votre inscription. Nous vous demandons de le remplir correctement et de vous inscrire le plus rapidement possible car nous n’avons que 100 places disponibles. L’inscription sera ouverte jusqu’au 30 juin 2020.

Les personnes qui ont besoin d’un Visa (qu’ils doivent se renseigner à l’avance auprès des ambassades de leur pays et prendre les dispositions nécessaires en temps voulu) peuvent demander une lettre d’invitation à la Commission en écrivant à congresomongomo2020@gmail.com.
