On the 28th of May several festive and religious events were celebrated in the communities to commemorate the 67th anniversary of the Foundation.
The Sao Miguel do Guaropé community celebrated the anniversary with and Eucharist for the second time. This event was held in the Saint Michael Archangel parish. The Pastoral Youth Council of the Central Region and the parish community participated in the event.
The Yhú community joined the Lambaré community to celebrate it as well. Menchy Gabriela González entered the postulancy on that important date. On this occasion there was a full programme with different activities: a football match Yhú-Tambaré and a contest about P. Luis’ biography for young people. There was also some time devoted to all the praying of the Liturgy of the Hours, worship of the Holy Christ, the celebration of the Eucharist and the typical Paraguayan roasting.
The community of Cornellà commemorated this day with the participation of all the students and the Educational community. The event began with the offering of flowers and chants to the Virgin in the school playground. Later there was a supportive breakfast with food contributions for the solidarity shop of the city and for the project of the work camp which is carried on in August in the Dominican Republic.
The community of Vic went to the Farther’s house with the nun Teresa Rovira, who had died in the early morning hours on the 29th. We thank God for her long life of fidelity and generous determination.
The nuns from Altamira celebrated and organised different events with the pupils in the school Santo Dominguito Sabio and the parish community. Among these events there was a little performance of the Missionary sisters of the Claretian Institute.
